The Makita XGT 40Vmax Li-ion Battery has been built to withstand harsh environmental conditions. It has a robust construction, protected against dust with a splash-proof design and an integrated cooling system for maximum durability. Equipped with an LED indicator that shows the remaining capacity of the battery. In combination with the DC40RA Fast Charger, the XGT 40Vmax 2.5Ah battery is fully charged in just 28 minutes.

The XGT 40Vmax range is equipped with special electronics providing digital communication between tool, battery and charger. This allows the charger to provide the optimal charge to the battery depending on the status of the battery, whilst the tool can respond to the status of the battery by optimising performance to the battery level.
